Is Gideon playable in Legacy?I have 4x Wrath and 4x Day of Judgement and would like to play him and some man lands (possibly green for Treetop Village) Any suggestions, links, thoughts? ~MM __________________ I am MeddlingMage...YOUR Motl Survivor 11 Champion, 2007 Captain N award winner, 2010 Marlboro award winner.MafiaBass (9:48:50 PM): sorry my keyboard is sticky MeddlingEric (9:48:56 PM): ewwww MafiaBass (9:51:43 PM): FTR, I did not show you my e-pee-pee New keeper of the Logout button

There are much better alternatives to Gideon in legacy, namely, man-lands like Mutavault and Factory.__________________ Joz - can we ban Leshrac for not fixing the Chrome PM issue?Gunslinga - If I thought it would help, and if I could, I would.

4x Wrath and DOJ is a bit of overkill really.I'd say you could make him work in a casual Legacy list, but I probably would never take it into a tournament. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!

The premier white planeswalker in legacy is the original elspeth. She is a house in control, and aggro decks.

Nope 2 Wrath 1 DoJ is really the most you can play. Feel free to add 2 Humility and 1 Moat tho.My 4 CMC curve in Landstill looks like that: 2 Wrath 1 DoJ 2 Humility 1 Gifts Ungiven (This is awesome, really) 2 Elspeth

Gideon works like a man land in the way that both can't be killed by a wrath or DOJ. I'd only play 1 or 2 max in a legacy deck since against man land decks its useless aside from being able to get 6/6 that can't be killed at least by creatures.

Im fairly sure many have tested it but the lack good results proves its not worth it. Elspeths are a lot better and probably even cheaper $ wise

Yes my legacy defender/deck thats gonna stall out some games can use gideon or baneslayer angel for that matter. The deck is designed to create a wall of defenders and win with a frost titan or sun titan or some other fat creature

So would quicken into a vindicate. We'll have to figure out how to play around that one.

Diabolic Edict on an empty field seems more likely.__________________ The only thing necessary for evil to triumph, is for good men to do nothing.

That would explain why that card is in high demand. Very popular. ~Revenger __________________ Your 2008 and 2010 Motl Siskel & Ebert award winner!Motl Facebook Contact Group

Actually, if someone actually played that, i would anticipate shenanigans and blow it to hell with Misstep. Well, i mean if i had Misstep and nothing to counter the actual spell of course.
