hi, I was a member of this forum 14 years ago. But you guys re-did everything and I lost my account. You can see I left a reference for somebody back in 2000. Is there any way to change my registration date back to 2000? Since I am actually a 14 year member, and I need people to be able to see that fact.

So you're saying that you've been around for 14 years, but still haven't learned that asking people to make cash offers or posting incoming cards on your H/W list are totally against the rules?__________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. I havn't been trading for 14 years. I traded a few times in 2000 and then stopped playing magic. but that doesn't change the fact that I am still the same person.
I see other's posting "incoming" and "$$$" On their lists all the time, thats how I got the idea to begin with.

I don't know that anything can be done, and I can't find any reason why an account from 2000 would not be registered still, but if you can provide the name of the person with a reference from you in 2000 and some proof that it's the same person that would let us look into the issue a bit more.__________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. Thanks! It was here http://refs.magictraders.com/TheMasta3.html http://forums.magictraders.com/ubbmisc.cgi?action=getbio&UserName=TheMasta3 We traded a few times. I've had kingtal0n@aol.com forever, here is me back then on car forums, http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/power-adders/144692-recipe-500-horsepower-22-a.html My car website from back then http://www.geocities.ws/kingtaling/turbo.html and a million google searches from my email https://www.google.com/search?q=kingtal0n%40aol.com&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&a q=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US<IMG I never changed away from kingtal0n@aol.com and I always use "kingtal0n" on forums. I am registered to at least 20 different forums with this name for more than 14 years. And never anywhere will you find a single complaint against me or my practices regarding sales or service. I've sold cars for over $65,000 USD http://hondamarketplace.com/showthread.php?p=24235702 http://www.freshalloy.com/showthread.php/134355-S15-Silvia-for-sale-in-Florida http://zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=115727 thanks for listening

even if its true, no one cares about join date; its meaningless. In fact people using old accounts that have been inactive for years and suddenly want to trade again are actually kind of suspicious...

I think it means alot to have an account for 14 years and using the same name everywhere on the internet. Once the internet name is sullied, its ruined everywhere; I would never risk ruining kingtal0n because hundreds of thousands of dollars in vehicle sales depends on it.

that is just one opinion. I believe having a join date of 2000 adds just a little more credibility that one of 2014. Across the vastness of the interwebs, you may be surprised to find that, there are always differing opinions. Even when you are have a scientific fact at hand, from a text book, there are always people who think the book is wrong.

In your case, I don't think it will matter either way. My $0.02. __________________ "Message to women worldwide: Girls....we're stupid. We don't like games. We don't know games. We can't read minds. Say it like you mean or STFU." -rockondonMy Sale Thread

It will matter, sometimes. You cannot say it will never matter. that is simply impossible. If I perform 1000 trades, or 100,000 trades, or 1,000,000 trades, I guarantee that at least for some of them, it will matter. the word "never" and the word "always" will surprise you, in that, they rarely "ever", truly, apply.

Dude, YOU asked the question. Why do you argue with every response that doesn't encourage your hope?

If you use your example of books and dates, I'm probably trusting the more recent edition in regards to anything scientific :P. But seriously, I think some of the most trustworthy people on this site probably didn't exist here two years ago. I realized you are probably bummed that you are getting some scrutiny in regards to coming back and feeling like a new member, but remember that when you haven't been around some of the people who may have traded with you are gone. If these people didn't know you then, they sure as heck are cautious now.

Changing your join date is going to hurt you far more than help you most likely. For every trader who appreciates that you've been a member of the site for over a decade there will be several who see an account that's been around for many years with no activity for most of that time and only recent references and will assume it's either a hacked account or someone that isn't invested in the site.__________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. I appreciate your insight. It is true that I have had no trouble due to my join date. I just thought it would help to reflect fact instead of fiction. While I did not actually expect it to change- I did at least need to find out for certain.

I think he's saying that he traded with TheMasta3 back then and was using that ref to show that he's oldschool.

Ahhh, I thought he was saying THAT was his old account. Why doesn't he just try the wayback machine?
