I have done another trade with sumone who has already left me a reference and it won't let me send them another . How can I do this

You don't. Your refs only count the number of trades with unique traders instead of the actual number of trades.

What you can do is start a section at the top of your H/W list mentioning the traders you've done multiple trades with.
