Pouring over lists from this weekend I was impressed that many people achieved results with cheaper lists that didn't require planeswalkers or too many mythics, etc. I rarely will get to play with the deck but I'm considering putting together a couple decks. I've posted links below and am interested in your thoughts on each regarding how they'll fair against what you expect to face:

Have any other cheap lists I missed?

I don't really want to pick up any card that is double digits and preferably not over like $6. I do own CoCo and 2 Jace VP but I don't want to pick up any E Moon cards that are high right now or any planeswalkers or anything ideally.

Maybe I'll build the U/G control, mono white weenie, and 1 U/R deck

i think the ug list is pretty sweet. It feels less clunky than the sanctum version.

I like that U/G list...but it has 24 basics? Not a single copy of Lumbering Falls? No Yavimaya Coast? No Evolving Wilds?

I think the deck could be tuned better....putting counters on Lumbering Falls w Part the Water Veil seems like a Thing you want to be doing.


The U/R Spells deck that went 9-1 at the PT seems like the best version of the deck, outside of a few Jace's the deck is pretty cheap. And Jace, VP is at like an all time low(aside from pre-sales) at this point and would be a nice time to buy in since it does see some modern play.

Ya I was thinking the same thing about the mana base.

Also, I just realized how close we are to rotation. now i want to relook at the decks and see which looks like it'd still be runnable after rotation
