I built a Commander deck and I wonder if this combo is valid?

I cast Animate Dead to a creature, then activate the planeswalker Verser the Sojourner to exile that creature

I wonder if the following is a correct flow of events:
1. Animate Dead goes to graveyard
2. Hanna, Ship's Navigator return the enchantment to my hand
3. The exiled creature comes back in play as a "new different" creature at the bheginning of end step, thus avoiding going back to graveyard and no longer need to be under the effect of Animate Dead to remain on the battlefield

Is this a valid combo?
Am I doing something wrong?
