HerrOttesen | This is back from May 2012, but I just stumbled upon this. It probably is some kind of joke, however the fact that it actually sold makes me laugh; wondering what ended up happening. So is it the cheapest, or most expensive? http://www.ebay.com/itm/1x-Bonfire-of-the-Damned-NM-mtg-Avacyn-Restored-/261026563175?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cc6654467#ht_500wt_1182 Enjoy. |
Pail42 | I hope the seller got some really bad eBay karma. |
Lord Crovax | Guy got positive feedback for it, stating auction canceled. Looks like it was probably a mistake. __________________ I shall have the souls of all who defy me. "Lord Crovax"

Oops, put $100,000 for shipping, meant to put $2.00. Must have been a typo . |

Even if it was, don't you think you'd catch something like that? lol Either way, it's good a solution was worked out |

Yeah I woulda noticed the giant number there, but I don't know. Seems REALLY underhanded, and likely not a mistake to me (by the seller). Granted, who would fall for it AND be able to pay it, and be dumb enough to pay it, but still. |
flophaus | I could see maybe like oops, meant $4 and put $40. Totally dishonest, but some people would probably pay it to just avoid all the BS. Once again, eBay bidders can be very stoopidd |
southparker2002 | I've seen people do that on other stuff too. Like sell it for $0.01 and charge like $100 on shipping. |

well, not that it was a good thing, but people would do this because ebay did not charge a % on shipping. Now that ebay charges a % on auction price + shipping, it doesn't make sense to do. |

Yeah, that was a loop hole people did a while back with Ebay. Since they take a cut of the final price you sell your item at, sellers would sell low, but charge whatever they were really looking for in the shipping price. Now you can't do that anymore; Ebay has a fixed Engine that will only let you put a limited shipping price based on the weight and distance of where it's going. |

That doesn't apply to magic cards, it's only a few categories like books and video games. |
jshields | 50,000 bonfire of the damned - coming right up! now, how many did that take out of circulation? maybe all of the bonfires ever made? the shipping is definitely expensive - maybe they are shipping the cards encased in a moderately-played condition Ferrari? |
