MAB_Rapper | Ok, this is hopefully a simple question. I'm looking to start doing some international shipping, besides Canada. I know some countries have huge problems with their mail and I wish to stay away from those places. My question is, which countries have problems and which don't? I only ask because I hate ignoring huge deals on the sales list out of pure ignorance and fear. Edit - This is what I heard before: Major Problems: Italy, South America __________________ MOTL's Most Likely to Play in the Pro Tour - 2007, 2008, and 2009 (My Nationals) Cracking the Top 100 Ref Count - 4/1/10 (Currently #72 - #5 in new York)

wayne | Singapore has an awesome mail system |
Filip Cec | Biggest problem: Italy - sometimes even registered air mail packages get lost (although that never happened to me). I heard that the same applies to Spain but I'm not sure.Russia, Spain and South America can be problematic if you do not use registered air mail. If you use registered air mail then everything will be perfect. From my personal experience the rest of Europe is functioning perfectly and you can use normal air mail without worries. Japan has an extremely fast air mail system. Singapore is also great. Good luck! EDIT: almost forgot: Croatia is also great!

Tranderas | I've had packages arrive to me from England faster than domestic mail (3 business days). Singapore is pretty good, yes. From what I understand, not all of South America is bad, but Brazil and Colombia definitely are. I've had positive experiences shipping to Singapore and Russia. |
s14sh3r | Japan is excellent as well. |
Thanos | I've had problems with Brazil quite a few times. Never had a problem with Italy yet, but I always send registered mail. In most cases people from Italy understand and have no problem paying for it. |

Really? People from Italy seem to be huge cheapasses and refuse to belief that their postal system is staffed by thieves in my experience. |

My experiences are all from ebay. I'm guessing since a lot of sellers don't want to deal with Italy, they're willing to pay the extra money to get what they need. I've also found they are willing to overpay for a card if you ship to them. |
bigbob585 | I've had four registered packages lost in the last year. two to France, one to Brazil, and one to Germany. Express mail generally is the way to go if people don't mind spending $30-30 for secure shipping. UPS or Fedex are by far the best choices for secured international mail... getting decent rates is the tough part. |

That's pretty bad. I've only lost 3 registereds ever. Hungary, France, and Brazil. The Brazilian one was stolen out of their post office when someone broke in and cleaned out the registered stuff. __________________ Ebay problems? File a claim, leave a neg, buy on MOTL.

CoupDeGrace | I had lost 2 registered mail to Italy and Brazil before! |
MAB_Rapper | Yeah, I knew Brazil and some European spots bad, but didn't know it was that bad. I posted on my sales list where I will and won't ship, so hopefully it will help a little bit. __________________ MOTL's Most Likely to Play in the Pro Tour - 2007, 2008, and 2009 (My Nationals) The Official Tower Magic Facebook Page

MAB_Rapper | Hate to necro this, but what about Germany? Was it a one off or is more than that? __________________ MOTL's Most Likely to Play in the Pro Tour - 2007, 2008, and 2009 (My Nationals) The Official Tower Magic Facebook Page

Everything worked great. At least from there, a neighbor country |
bigbob585 | I've had two $100+ order losses to Germany. Same with france, italy, spain. While italy and Spain used to be much worse, The rest are on par it seems as my latest lost package was to germany. I have yet to lose a package using express mail. |
sdematt | No problems with Germany. For Italy, I've only shipped one package, but I sent registered, insured, etc. -Matt |
andrew777 | I've never had any registered mail lost, but the postal system in Italy and South America will often never update any tracking or proof of delivery for items. If you sell on eBay even though Italians will pay for registered mail be prepared to receive 3 or less star rating on shipping cost even if the stamp is more than what you charged. Also, I've found the Spanish postal system to be great, but Spain seems to have more buyers looking to rip you off than any other country. I would never send to Spain without tracking. |
tyler416nes | I've only ever had problems sending to Italy and only once. It was actually from a repeat buyer from the country so I know he wasn't trying to scam. Since then I won't send to Italy, not worth the hassle. Anything in South America is kinda sketchy, but I've sent twice to Brazil unregistered with no problems |
Green-Rocket | Im from Argentine, south America. Years in Ebay and never a problem with shipping from Canada, USA, Germany, China and Singapore. If I have to choose, I will have everything shipped with 1st Class Mail |
Valmtg | I've shipped all over Europe except Spain and Italy as I've read numerous issues with their mail system. Japan and Singapore are great, Canada was ok but slow, and I've shipped and recieved before from Brazil so I might be one of the few lucky ones that have had no problem there. __________________ DPCH MOD "The tin man says I'm doing fine"*Silver Jewelry* I'm a pluviophile.
