michaelsean09 | Is this card legal in standard? I thought that the duel deck that was recently released would keep it standard legal but a friend said it is rotating anyway. Is this true? |
Meddling Pimp | It is no longer Standard legal as of today. |
michaelsean09 | That is a bummer. I now regret buying a duel deck. I was under the impression that it would still be Standard legal and considering basically all I play is standard and draft I definitely just wasted 20 bucks. |

If all you play is standard, why do you think him being in a duel-deck would prevent him from rotating out? |
WeedIan | You could likely move both her and tezz and make your value back or close to it and still have the other cards left over. Doesn't seem like such a terrible investment. __________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 10000+ posts 3rd in posts in Ontario 15th in posts on MOTL Top 5 in Refs in Ontario (by people who location posted)

mm1983 | EvT duel deck is well worth the $20 in my eyes since it also comes with 2 Swords to Plowshares, Steel Overseer, Mishra's Factory. Duel decks have nothing to do as part of rotation. Those cards in the duel decks are only legal in the formats that they are currently legal in regardless of if the duel decks have been newly released. |

It's logic fail. 1. Standard = core set + most recent expansion 2. Expansion sets = new product. 3. Duel decks = new product. 4. Duel decks = Expasion set. => 5. Standard = core set + expansion sets + duel decks. I've seen this happen with every product Wizards releases. I remember people getting really excited that Counterspell and Swords to Plowshares would be Standard legal again when they were released in various sealed products (Duel Decks, preconstructed decks, etc.). Since most people only play limited or Standard tournaments, it seems almost ridiculous to a few that Wizards would print cards that aren't legal for tournaments. |
Lord Crovax | This is expecially true of new players, something I've seen a few local stores capatilize on, have gotten close to being kicked out for saying otherwise on more then a few occasions. __________________ I shall have the souls of all who defy me. "Lord Crovax"

Ew, what kind of terrible store is that... |
mm1983 | I've heard most stores charge $30-35 for this duel deck but any walmart or target will have it for $20 if they have them available. |

Wow, that's awful. I think you should grab some friends and capitalize on the situation and make a good store! |
evilempire22 | Can get these for $20 each at a local store...if anyone needs one, I could pick one up for you. LMK. --Evil __________________ I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds. Living is easy with eyes closed, misunderstanding all you see.

Teferi Planeswalker | One week ago, one of the wannabe-dealers was cleaning out EvTs from a local game store for 35$ each. That local game store owner then cleaned out a walmart down the street of their EvTs for 20$ each to sell for 35$ each again. I went to Target and saw 3, bought 1. It seems like everyone thinks this thing is super rare or something and is just wanting to make a quick buck. Oops. |

people see the high price tags on the older ones. JvC is upwards of $70. People just don't understand it took a while to get that way. If this one gets stock piled in anticipation of it rising, it might take even longer. |

LOL, that was an amusing tale. We do not have Walmart or any supermarket selling EvT at $20. The cheapest in Singapore was a shop selling at $26 and they were fully reserved even before EvT was actually released. Another card shop wanted $34 and they still have stock. We do have a local chain with 10-20 outlets that sell comics, card games and related stuff. They are selling EvT at $36. $26 is probably the cheapest for EvT in my country |

Well, one of my friend pre-ordered numbers of EvT at 30 SGD...I do not see EvT floating at $26(Based on current conversion) at here at all but $36 is way too expensive unless u stating of shops like Comic Connection and so on. Anyway i think these EvT selling around 40 at here.
